Mission Statement


The Lowell Opera Company Incorporated (L.O.C.I.) is a non-profit charitable and benevolent organization formed for the following purposes:

1. To offer to the thousands of citizens of Lowell, Massachusetts and also those people living in surrounding areas a means of attending, enjoying and learning, both in appreciation as well as in a literary sense, the essence and value of performing arts, especially that of grand opera.

2. To offer opera performances in concert versions and in the "Grand tradition" and style in the musical sense; singing, acting and the added element of the dance taken from the traditional classic ballet style.

3. To encourage and provide an opportunity for singers, dancers, musicians and theatrical technicians in the area to perform in the chorus, cast, orchestra, and as technical support in all productions.
