Evan Denmark, tenor

Evan Denmark, tenor, returning to performance after a long hiatus, is quickly establishing himself as a performer in demand for his rich vocal tone, musicianship and elegant stage presentation.

Evan’s recent operatic roles with LOC include the romantic lead Rinuccio in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi, Beppe in I Pagliacci and Don Basilio in The Marriage of Figaro performed with the Lowell Philharmonic Orchestra. Evan is also in demand for the Lowell Opera Company cabaret series, delighting audiences with his ringing tenor voice.

He has also performed Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola, Tom Rakewell in The Rake’s Progress and Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni. His performances have been praised for their warm presentation, musical integrity and fluid artistry.

He has recently appeared as guest artist with Opera Providence and the Longwood Opera summer concert series, was a 3rd place winner in the 1st annual Classical Singer Vocal Competition, and a finalist in the New Jersey Alliance of Performing Artists 2004 Vocal Competition. He appeared this past summer as Sam in Susannah for the Heartwood Regional Theatre (Newcastle, ME), and as Rodolfo in Puccini's La Boheme for Longwood Opera in October 2004.
