Laura Green, soprano
Laura Green holds a B.M. in
Music Education from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell and has
continued her education there as a Master’s candidate in Vocal
Performance. An active performer and teacher, she has held both
faculty and assistant conducting positions in the choral area at Umass
Lowell, where she continues to be a featured soloist. In addition, she
teaches studio voice lessons at University Music in Lowell and serves
on the board of directors of the Lowell Opera Company.
Laura has performed
in a number of concerts and cabarets with Lowell Opera Company,
including the role of Barbarina in
2003's Marriage of Figaro
with the Lowell Philharmonic Orchestra, as the wily Nella in Gianni Schicchi in the LOC
spring 2004 production of Puccini's
Il Trittico, and most
recently as Giannetta in our
hugely praised June 2005 production of Donizetti's Elixir of Love.
Laura began her association
with LOC as conductor of the Spring 2003 production of Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana paired
with concert scenes of Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci.
